Put the alarm clock beep to sleep
The abrupt beeping of my old alarm made me want to shoot it in the morning and so it was with much joy that I discovered the sweeter alarm clock sound of my iPhone. Well today I discovered that just when you think life doesn't get any better, along comes two students and a silent way to wake up. Two University of Wisconsin-Madison students have designed an iPhone application that will be rolled out by Apple into it's stores in the next couple of months. Not only have they scooped $10,000 in top prize money but also bragging rights to potentialy waking up all iPhone and iTouch users. The software, called Proactive Sleep wakes you up by using light, configuring to your unique sleep cycle, the technology emits light during at the end of your ideal sleep cycle. This noninvasive technology tracks your sleep and will potentially improve your slumber, which as we know impacts all aspects of our lives.
