I am very allergic to dust and cannot sleep with feathers. What's truly great is that I'm no longer sneezing or itchy when I wake up under my silk filled duvet. Silk trumps synthetics every time. I purchased a ' deluxe silk duvet' my 3 year old son Nico.  He was getting very cold at night and was coughing quite a bit. I became very concerned and started reading up on 'non allergenic' materials. I noticed that duck and goose down were not naturally non-allergenic and that they could even collect bed bugs over time. When I heard about silk,  I was thrilled to hear about something my son could stay warm and cozy with and stop the coughing at night!  Well, its been a month since Nico's been using the quilt and his coughing has subsided and he sleeps cozy at night for 11 hours without waking! This is a first since he usually would get up once or twice a night coughing or cold.  I noticed that there isn’t any 'box stitching'  on the duvet, I think this helps regulate his body heat and keep every inch warm and cozy! My husband and I have always fought over which/how many blankets to sleep with because I was always cold and he was always hot!! When we tried the silk filled duvet we couldn't believe how perfect it was for BOTH of us!! Not only did it keep me warm but it didn't take as long to heat up when I first got into bed! Also, my husband is incredibly happy because he doesn't wake up in a pool of sweat anymore! (I know, kind of graphic but that's what we were dealing with!!) Also, my husband has an allergy to dust and would always cough after a week without putting our feather duvet through the dryer...since we've had our silk duvet he hasn't coughed once! My wife and I switched to silk duvets in September.  Living in the mountains we like to sleep with lots of fresh cold air…the move to silk from down has enhanced the entire sleep experience.  We were apprehensive about the light weight, but we have now gotten used to the lighter feel of the silk duvets and we are happy to report that it is just great.  It is amazing that something so light can keep you warm……..but it does.  JR, Calgary

Our Silk Concept duvet makes it hard to get out of bed, especially on chilly fall or winter mornings. The duvet shapes itself to your body and creates wonderful, snugly warmth. (We're sending one to my sister in frozen New Brunswick.) We haven't test-driven the duvet during the summer yet, but everything else about it has been exactly as advertised so we're not concerned.
